Kim is originally a city girl. One day, while out for a stroll in Queens, she accepted a ride from a stranger and ended up in doggie jail. Even though she is an attractive young girl, spayed, house trained, well mannered AND she passed her temperament test with flying colors, Kim ended up on the infamous "Death Row". How could this happen? She was just out for a walk on a sunny spring day! She thought it would be awesome to go for a ride. She had walked nicely on the leash and sat patiently while her intake was processed. She didn't bark or soil in her kennel. She wagged her tail, sat for treats and took them gently, posed for the camera in a dignified manner. What had gone wrong??? Kim's life was spared by the intervention of a rescue only hours before she was scheduled to die. They recognized a good dog when they saw one! Kim was transported to her foster home in the country and has come to enjoy country life as well! She enjoys the fresh air, the grass, the woodland trails, mud squishing between her toes and the occasional ride into town. One morning, a chicken got into Kim's quarters. She kept a very close eye on that funny looking bird, but never harmed the hen. She even likes to help gather firewood! One day a trainer decided to work with Kim. To our surprise, we discovered that Kim already has some basic obedience training. Sit. Down. A perfect, focused "stay" and didn't budge until she was given permission. Kim likes most other dogs but would do best with a playful young male who can keep up with her. Not sure about cats. Most probably fine with kids and elderly.
